OUR INTERIOR
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

CHOOSE WELL, LESS OFTEN

Navigating space to enhance its mind, body, and soul is the hallmark of a holistic interior design approach. As an energy-based practice, we combine integrative design elements and consider the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of a person, creating spaces that promote balance, simplicity, and harmony.

When we design holistically and intentionally, we come to recognize that the spaces in which we inhabit, affect how we feel. Rather than designing based on trends, we place importance on creating an environment that supports both our inner and outer senses and positively impacts our wellbeing.

Designing is not just a profession, but an invitation to a captivating journey. Every project is an opportunity to tell a compelling and soulful story through design. Grounded in curiosity and daring to explore, we craft interiors that are full of soul, and incorporate a diverse mix of materials and influences. Inspired by the raw beauty of nature our work reflects a commitment to holistic and sustainable design that stands the test of time. In collaboration with clients, we weave spaces that become cherished settings for making lasting memories.

HOLISTIC INTERIOR DESIGN

As we evolve, so does our approach to design- towards a more
mindful and deliberate path, attuned to the echoes of our choices.

About Sacred Spaces by Nicole von Bauer

A woman with light brown hair, wearing a cream-colored top and black pants, standing in a kitchen. The kitchen has open wooden shelves with pottery, glassware, and decorative items. There's a stove on the right and a white cabinet with gold knobs on the left.

Nicole von Bauer is the founder and principal designer of Sacred Spaces. Nicole's design work is rooted in organic modern aesthetics integrating natural materials and the kind of vintage pieces that give a space its soul. She is known for her ability to mix old and new, curated and collected, simple and layered creating interiors that feel lived-in from day one.

Her holistic approach means every design decision considers how a space functions for real life: how light moves through a room, how materials age, how a floor plan supports the way a family actually lives.

Nicole is a multi-hyphenate creative whose interests have led her on a nonlinear career path. She holds a B.S. in Marketing from San Diego State University and studied Interior Design at Design Institute of San Diego.

It's an honor to have you here. Let's create a sacred space together.
